Lady Gaga says no to sex
Pop diva Lady Gaga has publicly declared her plans to stay celibate.
The 24 year-old singer, famous for her provocative costumes and videos, made the revelation on MTV, and says she hopes her fans will follow suit.
"I can't believe I'm saying this - don't have sex," says Gaga, according to MTV.
Claiming that she's too busy at the moment for a relationship, the performer also stated her wishes to share celibacy with her fans.
"It's OK to be whomever it is that you want to be," she said. "You don't have to have sex to feel good about yourself, and if you're not ready, don't do it…It's not really cool anymore to have sex all the time. It's cooler to be strong and independent."
Gaga also attributes her decision to say no to the rising rate of HIV infection in women around the world.
